Each Christmas season, the Cedar Rapids Jaycees partner with The Salvation Army to provide toys for local children and families in need.
In 2008, our combined efforts distributed over 20,000 toys to more than 2,700 children in the area. With the help of Wal-Mart and HACAP, we were also able to provide over 1,500 food boxes to these families.
The Christmas Toy Shop is the collective face for holiday toy giving in Cedar Rapids. By combining the resources of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees, The Salvation Army, and Toys for Tots, we can focus on what's most important: making sure that no child has to ask why Santa didn't visit their house. On our own, we each serve the community. Together, we can do it better. This year we welcome back our major media sponsors KGAN, KFXA and WMT Radio to this partnership. Click here to learn about all of our sponsors who help make this possible.
